My Approach to Therapy
I use a combination of cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and coaching skills to help you to identify the causes of problems and learn new ways of managing and overcoming the things that are holding you back.
Having a secure evidence base for my therapy is highly important to me - after all, I need to know that what we are doing is safe and has impact - and to that end I took the only hypnotherapy qualification in the UK that is approved by the British Psychological Society for CPD.
My therapy room is a safe space where we can both be honest and open. You and your needs are paramount, so I listen first and talk later. I treat people equally and with courtesy, respect and understanding. Our conversations are confidential so that you feel free to talk freely and make change happen.
I also believe in living the life I promote - and to this end I have experienced the therapies and exercises that we use. In fact, whilst not originally intended I can honestly say that has had a profound impact on my own life!
I believe that we can all better manage our thoughts and feelings more effectively. As part of your sessions you will be given recordings and taught self-hypnosis so that you can continue to make long-lasting changes away from the therapy room, giving you control.
