What is clinical cognitive behavioural hypnotherapy (CBH)?

I am not the answer to your problems.

You are.

You just don’t know it - yet.

Cognitive behavioural therapy and hypnotherapy are both highly researched, evidence based* therapies that empower you to make lasting, positive changes in your life.

Hypnotherapy uses hypnosis as a tool to guide you into a highly focused state of attention/concentration. Here you and your imagination are naturally more suggestible and open to positive suggestion and cues in order to make profound changes. It is important to remember that you are in control in hypnosis - you are not in a trance, asleep or in a special state of consciousness but hyper-aware and responsive throughout.

I combine this to heighten and more deeply use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). CBT challenges and changes the way you think, feel and subsequently act to improve your life. We work together to deconstruct and re-frame your thoughts to break the vicious cycle of negative thinking that can so often overwhelm us.

I provide not only therapy in sessions, but also teach you self-hypnosis and other skills. This makes sure you can take control outside of the therapy room and in real life, helping you to make long-lasting change.

* hypnotherapy and CBT are approved by both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the British Psychological Society (BPS), as well as by the NHS’ National Institute for Health Care and Excellence (NICE)
